Opening up to Grief, the season of letting go.
As we settle into autumn, I cannot help but reflect upon how things change.
On one hand, I revel in this ever-flowing life; whilst on the other, I internally grasp for simple familiarity.
If this isn’t an intrinsic aspect of the human condition…
One with nature inherently, yet our consciousness of Self and Life creates attachment.
To look to the Earth and her swirling ways, to find that nothing remains still.
To gently and consciously hold space for the natural flow of grievance for what must change.
As we witness the letting go of spring and summer’s faces, in the forms of falling leaves and flower petals.
Making Space.
Remember, wilting petals can be beautiful, just as the bearing of the trees’ skeletons. It is part of this dance of Life and Death, as are you and I.
Here are four herbal allies to tend to your precious human heart in this transitory season. Choose your preferred form: Sip her in tea, inhale her spirit, mist her upon your skin.
Rose, the ultimate heart healer. The soother of grief and heaviness.
Peppermint, a breath of fresh air to clear staleness.
Cinnamon, warming remembrance, an awakener and comforter in one.
Rosemary, calm and cleansing, to purify the body, mind, and spirit.
Bless your Beautiful Sacred Earth Body.
+remember to breathe deep.
